Larsen Family

our love story…

Kegan and Emilie worked together at a treatment center for youth. We had worked together for about a year, both dating other people and were more just acquaintances. Our first conversations together were blunt and very honest which created an instant bond and trust and the rest is history. We dated for about 8 months before we were married. The connection and love was pretty instant for the both of us. We were talking about future baby names before we were even engaged.

We have genuine unconditional love for each other. We both strive to help each other grow and become better versions of ourselves. We work hard on our communication, we tell each other everything. Respect and trust are really the foundation of our relationship.ย

Kegan works as an Account Executive in tech sales. Kegan loves all sports. He is super well educated on stats of most every sport. He loves playing and watching basically every sport. He enjoys cleaning, yard work, swimming- he could live in the water.

Emilie works as a server at a restaurant. Emilie loves to spend time with the people she loves. She likes cooking for people, planning parties and traveling. She loves live music when you can feel the passion in their soul. She listens to audio books daily, loves working out, playing board games and crossing things off her list.

We are blessed with a beautiful village of support around us. Kegan and I are both social people so we have groups of friends that we have grown with and consider family. We also are supported on both sides by amazing parents, aunts and uncles who love our children unconditionally. Kegan grew up with 3 brothers and Emilie grew up with 3 sisters and the family has grown from there.

Kegan and Emilie were both raised in a dominant religion in Utah that we have since left. Our faith in God however has never wavered. We are christians and rely on prayer and faith daily as we raise and teach our children about God. We are part of a non-denominational church.

Kegan gets to work from home a majority of the week. We do a shift change at night and Emilie works a few evenings while Kegan thrives at bedtime. Our kids are a part of soccer teams, dance, art and other activities throughout the week. On weekends we like to be with family and friends, we like to go swimming, go to church, and go on family walks around the neighborhood.

We love hard. We try to find the fun and happy in everything we do. We give respect freely. We are honest, we teach our kids to have integrity and offer forgiveness always.
We highly value family time. We believe in working hard and trying your best. We believe in self-compassion- being confident in who you are, loving yourself and giving yourself grace.

KEGAN WAYNE

My husband is a sweetheart. He is the loudest person I have ever met, he has also taught our children to follow in that same decibel. Kegan loves fiercely. When I first met him I had never met someone who was so consistently happy all of the time, I just wanted to be around him to share in his light- I still do. Kegan is passionate, loyal and dedicated. I admire him for his dreams and ambitions to just be the best version of himself and always work on self development to be a better person, husband and father. Kegan loves to win, he is very very confident in his winning capabilities in all aspects of his life. Kegan is everyoneโ€™s favorite, I call him the neighborhood dad as he just connects and plays genuinely with every kid he meets. Heโ€™s definitely the cool kid and I’m so grateful he’s mine.

EMILIE

Em is someone who is adored by everyone. She is a very calm, kind, genuinely loving person. She has the ability to see someoneโ€™s needs and care about them in a way that just makes you feel seen and genuinely cherished and loved. Em is hard working and gives freely. She is always finding ways to improve and never gives up. She emulates beauty in all things that she does.  Emilie likes to laugh, be present, enjoy the little moments, be busy, eat sweet treats, workout hard and bask in the heat of the sun. Emilie has her bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies and hopes to return to the Social Work field after her children have grown.

HAZEL GREY

Hazel Grey is our oldest, she is in 2nd grade.. She loves being the oldest, she is our little mama and helps out so much in our household. She is very happy and witty. She loves to be pampered, she is very creative and loves art. She loves swimming, dancing, soccer, and spending time with her friends. She is friends to everyone, and often will find the kid that needs a friend to connect with. She thrives with one on one time with parents or uncles, a snack and a quick bike ride in the sunshine. She has a light within her that just glows.

FINNEGAN WAYNE

Finnegan Wayne is our middle kiddo, he is in Kindergarten. He is our wild child, he is a clone of Kegan in so many ways. He is so genuinely loving. If one of his sisters really wants something that heโ€™s able to provide he will give it up on his end just to make them happy. He is our little peacemaker. He is rough and tough and likes to wrestle, he is constantly moving, fidgeting around and humming. He likes all things boys including monster trucks, dinosaurs, sports, building things and pokemon. He also loves playing with friends and idolizes older cousins and uncles. He wants to snuggle always and will randomly tell us โ€œCan I tell you something? I love you.โ€

OLIVE KAY

Olive Kay is currently our youngest, she is 3. She is little miss independent. She doesn’t miss a beat and acts like a little teenager with her sassy attitude. She is fearless, she likes to climb, she likes to dance and will bust a move walking down the street. She is funny, she likes to say silly things and make people laugh. She will jump in any sibling tussle, choose a side, and start yelling at the other to back up the fight.ย

COOPER the dog

We have the cutest doggie Cooper. We have had him since he was a puppy and he is now 8 years old. He is the best, calmest old man. He thinks heโ€™s a lap dog even though he weighs about 80 pounds. He watches over the kids, he is so gentle, loves to play and snuggle. We like to get him trimmed with a nice mohawk and mustache that we sometimes dye with color during Halloween.
